Easyboot Bare

$90.00
sold out

PLEASE NOTE ➜ This is a FINAL SALE. NON-REFUNDABLE

Sold individually.

Features quality Easyboot construction, plus provides a simple, form-fitting boot that constantly adjusts to the hoof; stretches and flexes to mimic the natural movements of the bare hoof. The Sole is modelled after the barefoot horse. Includes three bungee settings - from loose to tight - for that perfect fit, with a front shield that protects the bungee system. No additional daily adjustments necessary after proper initial bungee adjustment.

The Bare features an attached, yet removable Gaiter that provides extra hoof protection, increased stability and protection from outside elements; keeps excess dirt and debris from getting into the boot. Also helps keep the boot on during extreme conditions such as mud, snow and water crossings. Won't rub, turn or twist. Ideal for the barefoot horse, muddy conditions, or for a horse who is difficult to keep booted.

Excellent boot for long-distance riding, endurance, multi-day excursions, light trail riding and pleasure riding. Great for barefoot horses travelling long distances over difficult terrain.

The bungee system is designed to be adjusted before the boot is applied to the hoof. You want the bungee in the tightest position that will still allow you to apply the boot. Start with the bungee in the centre position (the boots come standard in this configuration). It may be necessary for you to loosen the bungee for the first one or two uses. After applying the Easyboot Bare for the first time, try to slide the flat edge of a hoof pick between the hoof and the front of the boot. If you can slide the edge of the hoof pick between the hoof and the front of the boot, remove boot and adjust bungee on one or both sides of the boot to the next notch. Continue the process until you can no longer slide the flat end of the hoof pick between the hoof and the front of the boot.

How to Properly Measure Your Horse's Hoof

  1. After a fresh trim, measure the width of the hoof across the bottom at the widest point.

  2. Measure the length of the hoof from the toe to the buttress line of the heel. The buttress line is the farthest weight bearing point of the heel where the hoof wall ends. Do not include the heel bulbs in the measurement.

  3. Compare your measurement with the appropriate size chart. Please note that each boot style has its own unique size chart.

  4. Ideally, the length and width measurement will fit into the same size. If the length and width measurements indicate different sizes, select the larger size. If the width and length measurements are different by more than one size, your selected boot style is not recommended. Be sure to check your measurements against an alternative boot in the EasyCare lineβ€”another style may accommodate your horse’s hoof shape better.
